The buzz about Porsche’s Rennsport Reunion VI at the WeatherTech Raceway Laguna Seca near Monterey, Calif., last month just doesn’t stop.
So we decided to give it another, closer look.
More than 81,500 people showed up — the highest Rennsport Reunion attendance in five years. And what a spectacle!
About 50 legendary drivers and 500 historic and customer cars, including 350 cars in competition, were part of the pageantry.
Among the legends in attendance was Vic Elford, 83, the 1967 European rally champion in a Porsche 911.
Elford also won the 1968 Monte Carlo Rally in a 911 and a week later the 24 Hours of Daytona in a 907, Porsche’s first ever overall win in a 24-hour race.
